Daphne Drake, MA, LPCC (she/her)

Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate

Daphne M. Drake is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, with an emphasis in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy.

Daphne often works with adults experiencing ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life changes. She enjoys working with clients who are insightful and self-aware but still find themselves repeating patterns they want to change.

Her style is warm, conversational, and direct, and her approach is primarily humanistic and relational. She values therapy that goes beyond simply identifying what is happening and helps clients better understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and find realistic ways to move forward. Depending on the needs of the client, she draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma focused therapy, and mindfulness informed approaches.

Daphne approaches differences in culture, identity, and lived experience with curiosity and cultural humility. Her previous work with incarcerated individuals experiencing trauma, substance use, crisis, and complex mental health concerns also continue to inform her practice.
